Wenzel Marine improves its measurement capabilities with the 7 axis Hexagon Absolute Arm 8520. The measuring arm detects points in space in both a tactile way & by laser scanner. From this, shape and dimension of parts are checked, even at large & complex shaped components. The system is transportable. It already adds valuable support in quality department as well as in our repair workshop. We even can operate it in shipyards and on board. Fitting an Anchor in 3 Minutes

Ever wondered how an anchor chain and anchor is fitted to a huge cargo vessel? This video - compressed to three minutes - shows how Wenzel Marine of Stuhr-Brinkum, Germany did it. The particular vessel lost about 250 m of chain and the attached anchor (together about 200 tons) during haul-in operation. The material was recovered and brought to Hamburg container terminal where Wenzel Marine's staff took over and reconnected the recovered part of the chain with the one that was still on board.
